Taichung Field Trip
The students took a trip to the National Museum of Natural Science in Taichung in 2008. Exhibits visited included dinosaurs, Chinese cultural history, physics, and semiconductor manufacturing. The students were given a study guide and questionnaire they were required to complete as they visited the exhibits.

Sports Day 2009
HAS cooperated with neighboring school, Sagor, for Sports Day. Events included track and field events, personal fitness, and fun oriented activities for parents, teachers, and students alike. HAS students won several events. A surprise visit by Dr. Henry Lee famous forensic scientist from the United States gave the students an opportunity to meet him as he gave out awards.
