2009 Graduation Ceremony a Success
On Wednesday, June 10, 2009, the Hsinchu American School community celebrated the middle-school graduation of four students completing another rite of passage in life. The graduating students includeGraduates1d: Alvin Lai, Grace Wu, Jean Swart, and Ryan Tsai. Evening festivities included food, congratulations, and entertainment as well as the diplomas.
New Student Council Officers Elected
Hsinchu American School is proud to announce the election of student officers for Fall term, 2009-2010. The Student Council has made a strong commitment to be an active organization that represents the diverse needs of the student body. New Dormitories for HAS
Hsinchu American School will be opening a new dormitory facility for the Fall term, 2009. The facility is housed in a beautiful four story home in the National Art Park within easy walking distance of the school grounds. The National Art Park is a gated community with twenty-four hour security. These dorms will allow students to attend HAS in a safe and secure environment.

Taichung Field Trip
The students took a trip to the National Museum of Natural Science in Taichung in 2008. Exhibits visited included dinosaurs, Chinese cultural history, physics, and semiconductor manufacturing. The students were given a study guide and questionnaire they were required to complete as they visited the exhibits.
