1/16 Professional Development

On January 19th, 6 HAS teachers got the opportunity to travel to The American School in Taichung to participate in a meaningful professional development opportunity. This workshop was put together by Drama Arts Productions, a UK based theatre school that specializes in creating innovative arts education projects, mainly for the international school sector. Mr. Lines, Ms. Chen, Mr. Swarthout, Mrs. Maguire, Ms. Keller and Ms. McDowell participated in workshops about teaching drama texts with a focus on The Crucible as well as working with cue scripts for Shakespearean plays. It was a very meaningful day and our teachers came back with valuable new insights as well as new teaching ideas! We look forward to working with and collaborating with other CATES schools again in the future.
