World Scholar's Cup Taiwan Round

The Taiwan Round of the World Scholar's Cup took place on March 16-17 in Kaohsiung American School. Hsinchu American School sent four teams to participate in the academic competition last weekend. Senior team members included: Kevin Chiang, Ray Chiu, Edward Kao, Christina Gross, Ariel Chen, Mila Chen. Our Junior division members were: Kiki Chen, Mina Huang, Sophie Su, Kerdis Pan, and Dwight Tils.

We are very proud of our students for putting in a strong performance in a very competitive round which included over 300 students from 20 different schools across Taiwan. The level of competition was very high, with the current global highest-scoring individuals taking part in this event. All of our students received medals across a range of events and subjects. In addition to being awarded over 15 individual medals, Christina, Ariel, and Mila performed exceptionally well, placing 9th place overall and qualifying along with one of our junior teams for the World Global Finals in Kuala Lumpur.
