HAS Students Celebrate Thanksgiving by Giving Back

On Saturday November 25, 2017, 16 HAS students celebrated Thanksgiving by giving back to their greater community. They traveled to Big City and volunteered at the International Body of Fighters Day event hosted by the Eden Social Welfare Foundation. It was a day-long event, and our students gained valuable life experience by truly making a difference. Although it was raining and cold, our students displayed tenacity and perseverance as they set up the stage for handicapped performers and handed out hot meals to the participants and showed their excellent bilingual skills when they translated for the organizers. At the end of the day. the students were also treated to a surprise performance by Landy Wen, an award winning Taiwanese pop star! The students had such a great time, and we look forward to working with Eden Social Welfare Foundation in the near future!
