The youngest scientists on campus participated in an exciting science lesson with Mr. Hall exploring all the different types of sciences such as: chemistry, physics, biology, life science, geology and astronomy. Each student wore a lab coat, gloves, and safety goggles as part of the science lab safety procedure protocol. Now they are ready to explore the world!
On October 29, there was an ultimate frisbee game between the Hsinchu American School and Taichung American School. It started off as one school playing against the other, then both schools mixed teammates and played 2 different games with the new teams that were created. The students that attended had lots of fun at this event, and all of the players would like to repeat this excellent experience.
A representative of Jacobs University Bremen was on campus yesterday to give a presentation. Being the only all-English university in Germany, Jacobs is an interesting alternative for HAS students seeking to study in Europe. Students were also able to learn about studying in Germany in general, an affordable university option for international students.
On Tuesday, Vice Principal Mrs.Wilson attended a Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) training conference in Malaysia. WASC is an association that is student centered and values student success above all else. This was an amazing experience to network with other school leaders and to talk about how to best prepare our students for success!
During October 26 2019, there was a community service event at the eden warehouse in Taipei. There were students that helped out in the warehouse by folding clothes and cataloging them. Clothes from all over the world have been donated to the eden warehouse and it was the students opportunity to learn about the different styles of clothing as well as organizing them.
