No-Shave November Fundraiser

All throughout November, the male teachers participated in a fundraising event called No-Shave November. Students raised funds while the teachers grew out their long beards all month long. The event ended on November 22 with teachers shaving their beards into funny shapes and competing in beard dares. In total, the students raised close to 1800NT with the proceeds going to World Vision's RIghts of the Child fundraiser. We'd like to thank all of the teachers who participated including, Mr. Murphy, Mr. Lines, Mr. Maguire, Mr. Maginn, Mr. Thompson, Mr. Swarthout, Mr. Stancati and Mr. Auge. Well done HAS!

11/21 Basketball Game vs. HIS

The HAS varsity basketball team defeated HIS 48-29 on Wednesday, November 21. 2018 Science Fair

Hsinchu American School's annual Science Fair took place Wednesday 11/14 and Thursday 11/15. All students enrolled in science classes participated in the fair, from grades 4 through 12. Students created projects and conducted experiments as individuals or in pairs. This event is a positive experience for our students because they have the chance to learn about the scientific method and how to conduct research through experiment. Students also have the opportunity to practice their public speaking in English while they present to a panel of teacher judges and administrators. Congratulations to our winners who placed this year; job well done to all HAS participants! 【4th - 6th GRADE】 - 1st P

2018 Homecoming Dance

Friday, 11/2, Hsinchu American School held their annual Homecoming Dance at the Carlton Hotel in Hsinchu City. The dance was planned and organized by our very own Student Council and Student Activities members. The theme of this year's dance was "Howl-o-Ween" and students and teachers alike dressed in their best Halloween costumes! There were scary, funny, beautiful, and even inflatable costumes! Students enjoyed a buffet dinner, participated in some spooky games, and danced the night away. It was a great time for our middle and high school students. Thank you to high school StuCo for organizing such a fun event!
