Parent-Teacher Conference
On September 26th, HAS held its first parent-teacher conference of the year. Thank you to all the parents that came by to talk about their child’s progress. Parents and teachers had a pleasant night. We look forward to the next parent-teacher conference which will be on March 7th. See you there!

2018 Hsinchu City Athletic Competition Awards
The HAS Swim team participated in the 2018 Hsinchu City Athletic Competition on September 15th through 16th. The team won three medals and seven awards. Good job Swim Team! The following are the results:

9/26 Parent-Teacher Conference
Dear Parents and/or Guardians, We would like to invite you to attend Individual Parent-Teacher Conferences. These meetings are a valuable chance to meet with your child’s teachers to discuss how your child has settled in since the start of the new semester, review their progress, and consider next steps in their learning. Parent-Teacher Conferences are held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 4:00PM-7:00PM. Appointments are by drop-in only and translators will be available

September 2018 Alumni Spotlight: Schrasing Tong
Schrasing Tong, class of 2012, was an excelling student at HAS. While he was at HAS, he was the student body President. After he graduated from HAS, Schrasing went to Princeton University and studied electrical engineering. Currently, Schrasing is a PhD student at MIT studying Electrical Engineer and Computer Science.

2018 Lock-In
Our annual school tradition, the Lock-In, will be held on September 28 from 5PM to September 29 at 9:30AM. This annual school tradition is a great way for new and returning students and teachers to get to form strong bonds and build a sense of community. The students will have to opportunity to be involved with a number of different activities including competition games, video/board games, crafting, reading and much more.
