HAS Gives Back to the Community!
On Saturday, April 21, thirty students along with Ms. Chen, Mr. Maginn, and Ms. Phenix had the opportunity to travel to the PACK Sanctuary in New Taipei City for a community service event. At the event, we learned about puppy mills in Taiwan and why it is very important to adopt or foster animals. 2018 TAIMUN
Last week, HAS attended TAIMUN in Taichung where the theme of the conference was 'Rethinking Economics'. Unlike most other MUN conferences located in Taiwan, this conference took place during the week, which meant that delegates had to double up on conference preparation and studying for midterms. The resolutions passed, however, made all the hard work worth it!

2018 Poetry Slam
Over the past few weeks, the middle school students have been studying poetry, its forms and how it is written. Students in grade 6-8 are so excited to share the poems they've written at our third Annual Middle School Poetry Slam. The Poetry Slam will be held in the cafeteria, from 3PM on April 26, 2018. All parents, guardians and family members are welcome to join. Light refreshments and drinks will be served. We look forward to seeing you there!

G6 Student Donated 55cm of Hair to Children with Cancer
One of our 6th grade student didn't want to cut his hair so he decided to grow out his hair to give to children with cancer. He donated 55 cm of hair! Thank you to our alumni, Tommy Hsieh for making this documentary film! Check out the video here:
