在11月6日新竹美國學校AP Chinese 學生校外教學，針對古建築的介紹。 我們前往明湖路的一座百年古厝--「迎㬢山室」，當地人稱為柴橋古厝或林家大宅。 介紹了這棟二進式的三合院，建築方位、風水、彩繪、馬背、懸魚、垂花、門聯、護龍、地磚、正廳……等。 二進六護龍的格局，見證過昔日林家的風華，迄今斑斑點點的歲月軌跡，在土角的露袒、在窗櫺的斷殘、在褪色的彩繪上，無疑是六、七代子孫們的散居及不合所致。 不過我們正向看它，這古樸中溢出的富貴很美，建築的文化意涵很美，「迎㬢」中的期待很美，這麼美好的時光，與學生短暫的共度~

Dear HAS Families, Hsinchu American School is holding its annual (and very popular!) Thanksgiving feast on Friday, November 24th at 11:30am in B1 and you are all invited!
