High School

The Hsinchu American School’s high school curriculum is designed to prepare students for success at an English institution of higher learning. The general degree program (University Transfer) will meet the basic academic requirements of most universities in the United States. The Advance Science Degree was created for those students who indicate a specific interest in majoring in the sciences at university.

The Advanced Placement program at Hsinchu American School is designed to graduate students with advanced standing. The purpose of the program is to allow students to earn university level credits while still in high school, so that they can focus on upper division courses when entering universities. This also helps students enter graduate school at a younger age. Students will be encouraged to complete courses and exams leading to the APID (Advanced Placement International Diploma).
