Grades 1-5

Hsinchu American School’s elementary program extends far beyond the classroom. The school encourages students to embrace the spirit of self-discovery on their journey to life-long learning. It is the root of all that is done both inside and outside the classroom.

The school’s standards-based curriculum is rigorous and engages students at multiple levels. Core foundation courses are emphasized in the lower grades: Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Studies, paving the way for diversification at higher levels. Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities develop cognitive, motor and social skills, teamwork, perseverance, and leadership.

Strong emphasis on the Arts from early grades ensures that students have a personal connection with the world in a positive and productive way. The school’s overall program emphasizes development of every child.
